Sphere Solar | Seattle Solar Installation

What makes Sphere Solar different from other Seattle solar companies?

If you’re thinking about getting solar panels installed on your property, the most important decision you’ll have to make is who you choose to trust with your project. Whether you go with high-efficiency panels or not, standard or ballasted mounting systems, your solar provider will be the one handling every detail of your installation. To put it simply, you need someone with deep, local expertise, and you need someone you can trust to get your job done the right way.

Sphere Solar Energy’s team of experts has built sleek, beautifully-designed systems on all types of roofs, and our reviews on Google and elsewhere demonstrate just how committed we are to understanding our clients’ needs and accommodating them.

Finally, we’re more than just a solar company. We’re committed to working together with our community to grow clean energy in the Puget Sound region, but we also give back through charitable projects in communities around the world – bringing clean, resilient power to communities in Kenya.

Read on to learn more about Sphere Solar Energy and what makes us different.

With Sphere Solar Energy, every system is unique

Every roof is unique. That’s why we never use templates or outsource our designs. We have an in-house design team that works closely with our project management and install teams to accommodate your roof’s slope, orientation, and shading, your energy usage, and most importantly, your aesthetic and budgetary preferences. We’ve completed projects on composite, standing seam, and metal roofs, and are happy to assess your roof for solar eligibility.

We stay in constant communication throughout the short installation process to address any issues that may arise, and follow up on an ongoing basis to perform regular maintenance check-ups and ensure your panels are performing as promised. Finally, all of the solar panels we install come with a 25-year performance guarantee, and we offer a 10-year workmanship guarantee that’s a step above the industry standard.

See examples of our completed projects on our projects page.

Sphere Solar is a trusted member of the Puget Sound community

We understand that investing in solar isn’t a decision that most people take lightly, and we make sure not to take our clients’ and partners’ trust for granted. Fortunately, our work has earned the trust of home and business owners, electric utilities, statewide non-profits, and local governments across Washington.

Our google reviews are a great place to start to understand our customers’ perspectives on working with us. These relationships are important to us, and it shows in their positive experiences:

Four reviews by four happy customers – you can find more on our Google profile here.

It’s not just individual homeowners that have placed their confidence in us, though. We were also selected by regional clean energy non-profit Spark Northwest and community leaders in Mercer Island to lead solar installations for their 2018 Solarize campaign, and we worked closely with the City of Mercer Island and Puget Sound Energy to increase the island’s solar capacity by 50% in six months!

We’re also a partner to local businesses like Hellbent Brewing, with whom we completed a 25 kW solar installation last year (the largest solar array on a brewery in WA!).

Sphere Solar Energy gives back

Sphere’s Founder and Owner, Edwin Wanji, attended school in rural Kenya, where there was unreliable electricity, and has personally seen how solar technology can increase the reliability and resiliency of power, and reduce life-threatening pollution for people around the globe. That’s why he has chosen to dedicate some of the business’s revenue to support charitable solar projects in communities that lack reliable access to electricity and clean water.

In particular, Edwin has focused his time, energy, and these charitable funds on projects that increase resiliency in the face of climate change impacts and storms. So far, we’ve brought solar panels to a Masai community in Kenya and acted as an advisor to an ecological school in Puerto Rico. This winter, we’re going to be heading back to Kenya to install a solar-powered water pump at a Maasai primary school that will make the children’s access to clean water more reliable and allow them to spend more time studying.

When you ‘go solar’ with Sphere Solar Energy, you create an impact in the local energy system, but you also empower communities around the world to access clean electricity for the first time.
